Lilly stepped into the small gondola. I can't believe I'm doing this, she thought to herself as she loosened the rope that held the boat to the docks. It was the dead of night and Lilly was nearing the edges of the Ravnican islands. She had made her decision to leave this urban environment.
Now she was stealing a boat from some unsuspecting citizen in order to drift away into the moonlight. She felt bad about doing something so unlawful, but the alleys of Ravnica were no place for a young girl to travel alone at night. I have no other choice, she reassured herself. As the boat drifted lazily out of the city, Lilly drifted lazily into sleep. She would need her energy for when the sun came up.
When she awoke, an unfamiliar site greeted her. Openness. The land all around her was flat and unobscured by buildings. She had never felt so alone before. "Who could live in a place so bare?" she said aloud. She had made it to to the plains of the Dominaria region.

Amora was flying above the plains as she spotted the boat drifting through. The lone angel made an interesting choice, living in the plains. These plains were the only place she really knew though. She had awoke here with no recollection of who she was or why she was there. Since then she had wandered these lands to familiarize herself with them.
She fluttered just above the boat, staring down at the passenger inside. Either a traveler or she picked a very odd place to sleep. I'd hope it was the first. For now she just hovered watchfully. Meeting people wasn't her thing, not normally.

Lilly looked around in her boat and suddenly realized that she didn't have anything to use as a paddle. That wouldn't have been so bad, except that she really needed to stretch her legs and get out of the boat. She looked into the water, contemplating if she should try to swim to shore.
Then, in the reflections in the water, she saw a figure above her. She quickly turned around and saw an angel fluttering above her. Lilly let out a startled gasp. She was a little afraid, but not so much because it was an angel (they had those where she lived), but more so because it was a stranger. "Who- who are you?" she finally managed to ask. Hopefully it wasn't someone sent to retrieve her for skipping out on her job.

Oh lovely. She'd been noticed. Well nothing to do for it now. She fluttered down a little closer to the boat. "I'm Amora, or that's what others call me," she said. There was an utter lack of emotion in that voice, as if she really didn't care.
"You appear to either have chosen a bad place to sleep or set off on a trip and are now up the river without a paddle." A blunt observation, meant to be nothing else. Nor was it an offer to help. She wasn't that nice.

"A little of both, I'm afraid." Whoever this was didn't give off a very pleasant vibe. Although she didn't seem hostile either. Lilly figured she wasn't in any immediate danger, so she ventured forth with a question.
"So, Amora, I don't suppose you could tell me where I am? I've never been outside of the city before. Oh yeah, my name is Lilly, by the way." Lilly couldn't imagine the two of them becoming friends, but maybe Amora would be willing to point her in a good direction at least.
